TALBOT COUNTY SCHOOL LEADERS DISCUSS EDUCATION ISSUES
SEASON 1, EPISODE 5 - Kelly Griffith, superintendent of Talbot County schools, and Andy Burke, president of the Talbot County Education Association, sat down last week with Ridgely Ochs to discuss issues and pressures facing local schools at the county, state and national level.
Both educators say the big issue for Talbot County is whether the tax cap will be raised. Talbot County has the lowest tax rates in the state, although it is one of the wealthiest counties in Maryland. At the same time, more than 40 percent of kids in the schools need some kind of food assistance. Watch the video on YouTube here.
