This Week's Action Items

#1: KEEP UP THE PRESSURE ON HEALTHCARE
The Senate is back in session this week and still trying to pass a bill that would withdraw healthcare coverage for millions and remove protections even for people who have employer-sponsored insurance. Make your voice heard by calling Sens. Cardin (202-224-4524) and Van Hollen (202-224-4654) to encourage their opposition to the proposed ACA repeal. Call Gov. Hogan to insist he stand up for Maryland: 410-974-3901.

#2: OPPOSE REP. ANDY HARRIS' THREAT ON VOTER PANEL
Almost every state refused to fully comply with Trump's so-called Voter Integrity panel request for personal data on voters in every state. Maryland's officials also refused. But Rep. Harris said the federal government should withhold funds if states don't cooperate. Call his offices to tell him that's a really bad idea, and ask why he doesn't support Maryland voters:
DC: 202-225-5311, Kent Island: 410-643-5424, Salisbury: 443-944-8624.

#3: SHOW YOUR SUPPORT AT AN EVENT!
Even though it's the middle of summer, there are many things happening that support progressive causes, from movie nights to discussions on healthcare and race relations. Look below and mark your calendar. You'll meet interesting folks and learn some new information about issues that matter.
